Remembering Iloilo M. Jones, past Executive Director of FIJA

Iloilo Marguerite Jones, aged 78, passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2025, following extensive heart surgery. A brilliant intellectual with a deep passion for knowledge, Iloilo led a life marked by courage, conviction, and an unwavering commitment to her values.

For about the first decade of this century,  Iloilo was the Executive Director of the Fully Informed Jury Association.  Operating out of Helena, Montana, she greatly enhanced FIJA's web page, published a print newsletter, and maintained an extensive network of activists and financial donors. During her tenure, she was recognized with a $60,000 award for her exceptional writing on the topic of freedom in America.  Iloilo trained Kirsten extensively to take her place.  Prior to that, she was on FIJA's Board of Directors, from the early '90's. (FIJA was founded in 1989.) She helped Larry Dodge and Don Doig establish FIJA as a 501(c)3 organization.
