The Missing American Jury featuring Professor Suja Thomas

Tuesday, March 30, 2021
10:00 am MDT11:00 am MDT

In advance of FIJA's upcoming Virtual Reading Group covering her book The Missing American Jury, Professor Suja Thomas joins us for an in-depth conversation about her research into jury-related issues. So many aspects of the jury system as it exists and operates in the United States today seem counterintuitive given how adamantly it was insisted upon early on in the history of the United States. We'll discuss what the jury system was like when it was initially codified in the Constitution, how we got here from there, and where the jury system is headed (or could be!) from here.

In addition to being presented as a Zoom webinar, this webinar will be livestreamed to Facebook as well as recorded for future publication.
