  government to the point where it accounts for only a tiny fraction of dec
 isions in either criminal or civil cases. This was dramatically impacted i
 n 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic which has wreaked havoc on what was left o
 f our jury system. It's time to assess the situation and get a baseline fo
 r what needs to be done going forward to set the American jury system back
  in its rightful place as a bulwark of liberty.\n\nThis one-hour session w
 ill feature presentations by Clark Neily\, vice president for criminal jus
 tice at the Cato Institute\; Catherine Bernard\, criminal defense attorney
  and juror rights advocate and educator\; Mike Maharrey\, national communi
 cations director for the Tenth Amendment Center\; and Kirsten Tynan\, exec
 utive director of the Fully Informed Jury Association. We will cover the s
 tatus of the American jury system and threats to it\, including recent Sup
 reme Court rulings\, relevant legislation\, how it is impacted by the rece
