An analysis of the despicable ruling in the Laura Kriho case and a statement of FIJA\\\'s position on the matter will follow shortly.

For now, let\\\'s all say a prayer of thanks for Judges Rogers, Barnhill, and Nieto. And one for District Attorney James Stanley. Together they have brazenly demonstrated what the Fully Informed Jury Association has long maintained about this Nation\\\'s system of jurisprudence: it is corrupt. Those in positions of influence are determined to thwart justice by tampering with the jury pool and by intimidating jurors.

It seems that we\\\'re back in the 17th Century -- trying to re-establish the primacy of the jury. After a century of steady encroachment, the jury has been crippled. But it has been crippled through mis-education and ignorance.

At FIJA, we\\\'re trying to correct the misconceptions that subvert both the grand jury and the petit (trial) jury as the guarantors of individual rights. And we\\\'re doing it through education.
