Freedom Law – self help legal clinic and law library

Several years ago, an active Fully Informed Jury Association  (FIJA) supporter and advocate, R. J. Tavel–an attorney from Indiana and long-time friend of FIJA and its directors–started a complimentary web site named Freedom Law.  On this site, R. J. built an encyclopedic compendium of law-related articles, links, references, and commentary.  Freedom Law became a resource used by people from all walks of life for a variety of purposes.   Freedom Law provides free, independent perspectives and links on many law-related subjects, as well as commentary on opinions and rulings.

In 2007, R. J. Tavel donated the site, as well as funds for its maintenance and continuation, to FIJA.  Since that time, FIJA has reformatted, redesigned, and generally updated Freedom Law to make it more accessible and coherent to a broader variety of users.

Freedom Law is sponsored by the Fully Informed Jury Association, a 501(c)(3) educational organization, whose sole mission is to educate people about their authority and obligation to render verdicts based on conscience when they serve on juries.
